a dervish is a warrior whose effectiveness is inversely proportional to the opposing team's skill. what's not to like?

Dervishes are still used in pvp, just not as a scythe wielder. The inherent property of hitting up to two additional adjacent foes when attacking, at the very core, means that they will never be good at melee in PvP. Sure, you get the occasional [Avatar of Lyssa] attack spammer, or some other gimmick build, but in general, they are not good in PvP because of players' knowledge of the concept: "Do NOT Ball-Up!".

With AI lacking this concept, PvE gets totally wtfpwned by Scythes, and the fact that they can keep up avatars permanently (which add insane armor) and AI's tendency to target only 1 foe (tanking), Dervishes > PvE

i like my derv. monument red+black is epic
[wounding strike] is one of the sickest melee elites in the game. spammable bleeding+deepwound=awesome.

Mysticism- Whenever an Enchantment ends, you gain 1 Health for each rank of Mysticism and 1 Energy for every 3 ranks of Mysticism.

Basic Dervish armor provides up to 70 armor, 5 extra energy, 25 extra health and 2 extra energy recovery.

now its Monks>>rangers>> dervs

if dervs has rupts they would be win

and if onslaught was 33% attack, run

i'd say a dervish is a hybrid . a dervish can tank almost as well as a warrior but with 4 energy regen , just like a castor , thus being able to use builds like e.g. http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Any/A_Vanguard_Spiker . dervs can run and thats a fact , even better than warriors in some areas , with 130 farming , they can farm more places than warriors although slower. common places like UW can be farmed too. a derv however can never beat a warrior in pvp if you were to talk about its skill bar. apparently warriors have more varieties e.g. a hammer , spear , sword , axe , daggers ( if you're using WE ) whereas for a derv , you can only use a scythe , spear ( if you're a support DP using this build http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:D/...t_Spearchucker ) a staff if you're planning to heal and daggers if you want to spike with Avatar of lyssa. yeah dervishes are cool , thats a fact but warriors are cool too with their primeval armor and elite gladiator.

To sum up this thread, some people like Dervish's, some people don't. Some people like other professions, and everyone likes a guy in a dress.

Go play a Dervish, and make up your own mind.
